Former Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund player Thomas Helmer believes that Pep Guardiola is partly responsible for the injury which has ended Arjen Robben's season.
The Dutch midfielder featured for the first time in over a month when he came on for Munich in their DFB-Pokal semi-final against Dortmund, but was forced off after less than 15 minutes due to a thigh injury.
Munich went on to lose the match on penalties, and Helmer was critical over Guardiola's decision to play Robben.
Writing in his column for TZ, he said: "Guardiola had his share of responsibility in the problems. Bayern dominated the ball and their opponents, everything was under control, but suddenly BVB were courageous and had great opportunities.
"I was very surprised by Guardiola's substitutions. Why did he bring Arjen Robben on in such a tight game? I thought the risk after his long injury was too great."
Dortmund will face Wolfsburg, who thrashed Arminia Bielefeld 4-0 on Wednesday evening, in the final.
