Javier Mascherano rules out Barcelona complacency

Javier Mascherano does not believe that complacency will be an issue as Barcelona take a 3-0 first-leg lead to Bayern Munich hoping to reach the Champions League final.

Javier Mascherano has urged Barcelona to forget about their healthy 3-0 aggregate lead ahead of tomorrow's Champions League semi-final at Bayern Munich.

The Catalans planted one foot in the final of the competition thanks to a Lionel Messi-inspired victory over Bayern last week as a date in Berlin beckons next month.

However, the Argentine defender has insisted that complacency will not be an issue as Luis Enrique's charges look to finish the job at the Allianz Arena.

"I think we need to forget that we are leading 3-0 - we have to try to win this match," he told reporters.

"We know that we are doing well in the league. If we try something different in this competition, we would be making a mistake.

"We are not excessively confident about what could happen in the game - they are going to try everything to progress. Tomorrow's game is really exciting for us. Playing in the Champions League final is a dream."

Progression would see the Blaugrana take a big step toward a treble, with Enrique's men leading La Liga and preparing for a Copa del Rey final with Atletico Madrid.
