Barcelona B went down a goal to nil at home to Lugo in Spain's Segunda Division this afternoon.

The Catalan B side were sitting in seventh before the start of play, with Lugo two places behind them in ninth.

The visitors have now jumped above Barca and into the top six, keeping early hopes of a promotion to La Liga alive.

The only goal of the game came on 65 minutes, when Iriome Gonzalez found the back of the net.

Next up for Lugo is mid-table Real Zaragoza.
