Report: Bayern Munich want Diego Godin

A report claims that Bayern Munich want to sign Atletico Madrid centre-back Diego Godin as a replacement for the injured Javi Martinez.

Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola is reportedly interested in signing Atletico Madrid centre-back Diego Godin before the transfer window closes this summer.

Guardiola recently insisted that his summer transfer business was complete, but his plans have been changed following a long-term injury to Javi Martinez.

According to Football Espana, Godin is the German club's number one target, with the defender believed to have a buy-out clause in the region of £30m.

Godin is now widely seen as one of the best centre-backs in European football after helping Atletico to the La Liga title last season.
