Diego Costa to return to Premier League with Everton?

Everton are reportedly interested in bringing former Chelsea striker Diego Costa back to the Premier League from Atletico Madrid.

Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa has reportedly become a transfer target for Premier League outfit Everton.

The 30-year-old former Chelsea man appears to be set to leave the Wanda Metropolitano after an 18-month spell which has seen him net 11 goals in 42 appearances.

Costa ended last season prematurely after picking up an eight-match ban for insulting a referee.

With the Spanish club signing Joao Felix from Benfica and securing a permanent deal for Alvaro Morata, a report in The Sun suggests that a return to England could be on the cards for the forward, with Everton showing a keen interest.

Toffees boss Marco Silva has added Andre Gomes to his squad from Barcelona as he looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.

The report suggests that Atletico would be willing to accept a fee lower than the £57m which they paid Chelsea for his services in January 2018.
