Everton's bid to sign Moise Kean has suffered a blow after Juventus reportedly rejected a £27m bid for the young Italy international.
Kean, part of the Juventus setup since 2010, impressed potential suitors towards the end of the 2018-19 campaign by scoring six goals in Serie A as The Old Lady strolled to an eighth consecutive title.
Marco Silva is in the market for another striker after both Cenk Tosun and Dominic Calvert-Lewin failed to produce consistent performances at number nine last season.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Everton's pursuit of a top-class forward has taken a hit after Juventus rejected the Premier League club's £27m offer for Kean.
The 19-year-old, who also made his senior debut for Italy earlier this year, has reportedly attracted interest from Ajax in this window.
Everton's business this summer has so far included signing midfielder Andre Gomes from Barcelona for £22.5m and Huddersfield Town goalkeeper Jonas Lossl on a free transfer.
