Atletico Madrid skipper Gabi has said that he was "proud" of his side despite their 2-0 defeat to Levante in La Liga at the weekend.
The capital outfit missed the chance to extend their lead to six points at the top of the table, with Levante stopper Keylor Navas in fine form in Valencia.
"I'm proud of the team. We tried in every way. Their best player was the goalkeeper," he told AS.
"We tried but we haven't been successful and the early goal made us go forward to do what we could. We have to keep working and on Sunday comes another final.
"The group is hurt, without saying more. We can't make a drama out of this because we are privileged to depend on us. Now more than ever I am confident in this team. It's another thing but the numbers are good and if we win two games, we're champions."
As it stands, Atletico are three points clear of second-placed Barcelona at the top of the table, while Real Madrid, who have played a game fewer, sit five points behind the leaders.
