Aston Villa on-loan winger Scott Sinclair has expressed his belief that the club will beat the drop, despite failing to win any of their last 11 Premier League fixtures.
Sinclair, who joined the Midlands outfit from Manchester City in January, got Tim Sherwood's first game as Villa boss off to a strong start by scoring in the 20th minute against Stoke City.
However, Villa eventually relinquished their lead and fell to a 2-1 defeat following a last-minute Victor Moses penalty.
According to The Mirror, when asked if he thinks Villa will be safe, Sinclair said: "Yeah, I think. When we went 1-0 up we stepped off the gas a little bit rather than keep going to get a second and a third. We should have got more out of the game. It was very disappointing to lose it in the last minute."
Villa are currently second from bottom in the league table.
