Tony Xia is set to complete his takeover of Championship side Aston Villa on Monday, according to reports.
The Chinese businessman has reportedly proved to the Premier League and the Football League that he has adequate funds and has passed the owners and directors test.
According to BBC Sport, Xia will fly into the UK on Sunday night to meet Football League chairman Shaun Harvey to tick the final box of approval to complete the £76m deal.
The Football League has to make the final decision because relegated Villa are no longer in the Premier League, but that is expected to be nothing more than a formality.
