Paul Lambert explains Tom Cleverley inclusion

Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert explains the inclusion of deadline-day signing Tom Cleverley in his starting XI for their Premier League trip to Liverpool.

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has explained Tom Cleverley's inclusion for his side's visit to Liverpool this evening.

The Reds entertain Lambert's side, and the Scot has been impressed by Cleverley's form in training following his deadline-day switch from Manchester United.

"Tom has looked great in training," he told Sky Sports News. "His last game was against Sunderland [last month], but we've no worries about throwing him in.

"We know hard this is going to be, they're a top side and came close to winning the league, but we're in good form. The way we're playing at the moment, we'll give it a right good go."

You can catch Sports Mole's live commentary of the game here.
