Crystal Palace defender Tyrick Mitchell has reportedly snubbed interest from Arsenal to sign a new long-term deal with the Eagles.
The 21-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough season under Roy Hodgson during the 2020-21 campaign with 13 appearances in all competitions - 12 of them being starts in the Premier League.
Having loaned Sead Kolasinac out to Schalke and lost Kieran Tierney to a calf problem, Arsenal were tipped to bring in one of Mitchell or fellow Palace left-back Patrick van Aanholt during the most recent transfer window.
The Gunners did not strike a deal for either player, though, and The Mirror now reports that Mitchell has agreed to pen fresh terms at Selhurst Park.
The report claims that the defender's new-and-improved deal will keep him on at Palace until 2025, and Hodgson was keen to fend off interest from top Premier League clubs by tying him down to a new contract.
Mitchell has played the full 90 minutes in six of Palace's last nine Premier League matches, and his previous deal was due to expire this summer.
