Roma have reportedly made plans to offer £7m for Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech in the January transfer window.
Cech has been forced to play understudy this season due to the form of Thibaut Courtois, who has become the first-choice shot-stopper since returning to Stamford Bridge from Atletico Madrid in the summer.
Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are both rumoured to be interested in Cech, but they could be facing competition from Roma when the transfer window reopens.
According to the Daily Mail, Roma will wait until their Champions League fate is confirmed next week before deciding whether to approach Chelsea over a move for Cech.
Jose Mourinho claimed on Tuesday that the club had not received any offers for the 32-year-old.
