Report: Arsenal reject Valencia's Jack Wilshere bid

A report claims that Valencia have failed in a loan bid for Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, who has not played this season.

Valencia have reportedly failed in an attempt to sign England international Jack Wilshere on loan from Arsenal.

The 24-year-old has not made a single Premier League appearance for Arsenal this season after breaking his leg before the start of the 2015-16 campaign.

It is understood that the midfielder has stepped up his recovery in recent weeks and according to a number of reports, Valencia boss Gary Neville had hoped to take the Englishman on loan until the end of the season.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, however, is believed to have immediately rejected the offer for a player that has two-and-a-half years left to run on his current contract at the Emirates.

Former Manchester United player Neville, who is still assistant coach for England, has not yet recorded a league win in charge of Valencia.
