A report claims that Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey wants more than his current £110,000-a-week salary if he is to commit to the club with another new contract.

Aaron Ramsey is reportedly holding out for a better offer from Arsenal before signing a new long-term deal at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners are understood to have opened discussions with the Welsh midfielder earlier this month over extending his stay beyond the end of next season.

According to The Times, however, the 27-year-old is delaying putting pen to paper as he wants a major increase on his current £110,000-a-week wages.

Arsenal are said to fear a repeat of the Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil contract standoffs, with both men also making specific wage demands when entering the final stages of their deals.

Ramsey has been at Arsenal since 2008, making more first-team appearances for the club than any other current player.
