Newcastle United are reportedly prepared to use goalkeeper Freddie Woodman in any proposal for Arsenal midfielder Joe Willock.
Mikel Arteta has suggested that Willock will feature in his Gunners squad next season after scoring eight goals during a loan spell at St James' Park.
However, with Willock having emerged as his key man during the second half of the last campaign, his Magpies counterpart Steve Bruce is eager to sign the 21-year-old on a permanent basis.
According to Chronicle Live, Newcastle are ready to tempt Arsenal into a deal by offering Woodman in part-exchange.
Despite the 24-year-old impressing on loan at Swansea City since 2019, Bruce may be prepared to use Woodman's growing status to secure his priority transfer target.
The report claims that Arsenal are keen to add an English goalkeeper to their ranks as they bid to boost their homegrown quota.
