The agent of Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil allegedly states that the German will spend the current season at the Emirates Stadium.

The agent of Mesut Ozil has reportedly suggested that the midfielder will not leave Arsenal in the foreseeable future.

After the arrivals of Dani Ceballos and Nicolas Pepe, the chances of Ozil holding down a regular place in the starting lineup appear to be slim.

There has been talk of the German being lined up to replace Wayne Rooney at DC United when the former England skipper moves to Derby County in January.

However, Turkish Football says that Ozil's representative Dr Erkut Sogut has ruled out the possibility of the 31-year-old departing the Emirates Stadium.

Fenerbahce have officially stated that they will not be signing Ozil, despite frequent speculation regarding interest in the playmaker.

Ozil still has just under two years left on his contract at the North Londoners.
