Arsenal attacker Mesut Ozil has reportedly emerged as a target for MLS outfit DC United.
The 30-year-old has made 231 appearances for the Gunners since a 2013 move from Real Madrid.
Ozil missed his team's Premier League opener against Newcastle United last weekend, though, amid concerns over the attacker's security after being involved in a carjacking attempt in July.
According to the Washington Post, DC United are keen to present Ozil with the chance to quit English football as the MLS outfit look for a replacement for Wayne Rooney, who will be leaving the North American side at the end of 2019 to join Derby County as the former England captain prepares to start his coaching career.
Ozil, who scored five Premier League goals last season, still has two years left to run on his contract at the Emirates Stadium, which is said to be worth in excess of £350,000 a week.
