Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira is reportedly willing to force an exit from the club this summer amid speculation linking him with AC Milan.
The 23-year-old only joined Arsenal in a £26.5m deal from Sampdoria last summer, but he recently poured doubt on his future at the Emirates Stadium by admitting that he prefers living in Italy above England.
Milan were quick to register their interest in the diminutive defensive midfielder following the appointment of Marco Giampaolo as manager, with Torreira having previously worked alongside the new Rossoneri boss at Sampdoria.
The Italian giants have reportedly made an initial two-year loan offer worth up to £7m which includes an option to buy for £34m, and Sportitalia claims that Torreira is desperate to return to Serie A.
The Uruguay international has allegedly told the Arsenal hierarchy that he wants to leave the club, having struggled to adapt to life in London.
Torreira established himself as a key member of Unai Emery's side during the 2018-19 campaign, making 50 appearances across all competitions and missing just four Premier League games all season.
