PSV Eindhoven's Donyell Malen has reportedly emerged as a leading transfer target for Barcelona with the Spanish champions widely expected to move for a new forward at the end of the season.
The Catalan outfit are believed to view signing a new striker as a priority in next summer's transfer window with Luis Suarez seemingly entering the closing stages of his time at the club.
The likes of Marcus Rashford and Harry Kane have recently been linked with moves to Camp Nou, while Liverpool's Roberto Firmino is also allegedly a target for Ernesto Valverde's side.
A recent report had claimed that Barca had also joined the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Everton in pursuit of Malen, who has scored 16 times in 18 appearances for PSV this season.
According to Diario Sport, the Catalan giants have now stepped up their interest in the Netherlands international, who is viewed as the perfect arrival in the final third of the field.
Malen, who scored all five goals in his Dutch side's 5-0 win over Vitesse in the Eredivisie earlier this season, joined PSV in 2017 after failing to make the breakthrough at Arsenal.
