President Josep Maria Bartomeu promises Denis Suarez he can leave Barcelona?

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu reportedly promises Denis Suarez - who is attracting interest from Arsenal - that he can leave Camp Nou.

Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez has reportedly been assured that he can leave Camp Nou during the January transfer window.

Suarez does not feature in the plans of manager Ernesto Valverde, and Arsenal are keen to sign the player before the end of the month.

There have been reports that the two clubs are struggling to agree a fee, with Barcelona looking for a straight sale and Arsenal eager to put together a loan-to-buy agreement.

However, according to Marca, president Josep Maria Bartomeu has already promised Suarez that he can exit the club at the midway point of the campaign due to his lack of first-team appearances.

An issue remains with Barcelona requiring more funds to continue their efforts to strengthen in January, but it has been suggested that Suarez will be allowed to leave either on a temporary or permanent basis.
