Arsenal have reportedly been knocked back by Sevilla in their attempts to sign Joan Jordan this month but will reignite their interest during this summer's transfer window.
The 26-year-old has again been a key player for the Europa League winners during the 2020-21 campaign, contributing two goals and four assists in 29 appearances in all competitions.
Jordan has a contract in Seville until the summer of 2023, but there is believed to be a €60m (£53m) release clause in the agreement, and Arsenal have recently been credited with an interest.
According to Estadio Deportivo, the Gunners saw an enquiry for the midfielder rejected by Sevilla earlier in the January transfer window, but Mikel Arteta's side intend to make another move ahead of next season.
Jordan, who has not been capped at international level by Spain, has made 76 appearances for Los Nervionenses since arriving from Eibar in July 2019.
Arsenal recently completed the loan signing of Real Madrid attacker Martin Odegaard.
