Arsenal will complete the signing of Belgian midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga from Anderlecht imminently, according to a report.
The 21-year-old has not travelled with the Anderlecht squad for their six-day training camp in the Netherlands, staying at home to finalise his switch to the Emirates Stadium.
Mikel Arteta has been on the lookout for a defensive midfielder to partner Thomas Partey and his search appears to have been successful.
According to Belgian outlet Walfoot, Lokonga is very keen to complete the deal "as soon as possible" and is simply waiting to travel to London to make it official.
The midfielder, who has represented Belgium at Under-21 level, came through the Anderlecht academy and made his first team debut at the age of 18 in December 2017. Since then he has made 69 appearances for the club, scoring three goals.
He would be Arsenal's first signing of the summer as they look to improve on their eighth-placed finish in the Premier League last season.
