Arsenal allegedly hope to have made five first-team signings before the end of the summer transfer window.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta reportedly wants to make five first-team signings during the summer transfer window.

With the Gunners having finished in eighth position in the Premier League table last season, Arteta is under pressure to make significant changes to his senior squad.

Speculation persists that a number of players, including Hector Bellerin and Granit Xhaka, will be departing the Emirates Stadium over the coming weeks.

According to The Athletic, Arteta wants to use any funds generated to help secure the services of five new players.

Versatile Brighton & Hove Albion defender Ben White appears most likely to arrive at the North London outfit, potentially followed by Anderlecht midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga.

The report adds that a goalkeeper, right-back and left-back could also join the club before the beginning of the new campaign in August.
