Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has suggested that the club could be in the market for a new left-back.
While Kieran Tierney has established himself as the clear first choice, Sead Kolasinac's exit earlier this month has reduced Arteta's options in the position.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Cedric Soares, who generally act as cover on the right-hand side, can be moved to the opposite flank if required.
However, when quizzed on the matter at a press conference, Arteta told reporters that "the option is open and we will look to see what is available."
Bukayo Saka has proven more effective playing in attacking areas, seemingly convincing Arteta that he should be deployed further forward on a regular basis.
Matt Macey, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, William Saliba and Mesut Ozil have joined Kolasinac in leaving Arsenal this month, freeing up space on the wage bill.
