Swansea left-back Neil Taylor is reportedly a transfer target for injury-hit Arsenal.

Arsenal are planning a shock bid for Swansea City left-back Neil Taylor, according to reports.

Arsene Wenger's side are currently short of defensive options because of injuries to Kieran Gibbs, Andre Santos and Thomas Vermaelen.

Taylor, 22, has been impressive during Swansea's first season in the Premier League and The Sun claims that his performances have caught the eye of Wenger.

If a move were to materialise, it would mark an astonishing rise to the top for Taylor, who was playing for Wrexham only two years ago.

Swansea are currently 12th in the Premier League.
