Theo Walcott's agent has claimed that signing the Arsenal winger represents an "almost impossible" task for reported suitors Fiorentina.
Speculation has mounted that the Italian club are keen on signing the 25-year-old on loan for the rest of the season in January.
Despite admitting that there is probable interest from the Serie A side, Walcott's representative Colin Gordon says that they will be priced out of a move by the player's £100k-a-week wages.
"Theo is liked by a lot of teams and it's likely there's interest from Fiorentina," Gordon is quoted as saying by The Express.
"I have a great relationship with that club, I respect and admire their leaders. I just don't think there is an opportunity to see Walcott in Florence.
"I don't think that Fiorentina have the money to get him. I think it's an almost impossible deal for them and I was never contacted by them about Theo."
Walcott, who has just returned to first-team duties after a 10-month absence through injury, is tipped to start the Gunners' visit to Swansea City tomorrow evening.
