New Arsenal signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan is named on the bench for Tuesday night's Premier League trip to Swansea City.

New Arsenal signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been named on the bench for Tuesday night's Premier League trip to Swansea City.

The midfielder, who swapped Manchester United for Arsenal last week, was expected to be drafted into his new side's starting XI but will have to wait before making his debut.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has made just one change to the side that beat Chelsea in the EFL Cup semi-final last week.

Aaron Ramsey comes into the starting lineup in place of Jack Wilshere, who misses out due to illness.

Olivier Giroud, meanwhile, is also named on the bench despite speculation linking the Frenchman with a move away from the Emirates Stadium.

Swansea have named an unchanged lineup following their 1-0 win against Liverpool in the Premier League last time out, with striker Wilfried Bony remaining on the bench.

Swansea City: Fabianski; Naughton, Van Der Hoorn, Fernandez, Mawson, Olsson; Clucas, Ki, Fer, Dyer; Ayew
Subs: Nordfeldt, Bartley, Carroll, Routledge, Narsingh, Bony, Abraham

Arsenal: Cech; Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal; Elneny, Xhaka, Ramsey; Iwobi, Ozil, Lacazette
Subs: Ospina, Chambers, Kolasinac, Maitland-Niles, Mkhitaryan, Nketiah, Giroud
