Preview: Crystal Palace vs. Arsenal

Sports Mole previews Crystal Palace's first game following Ian Holloway's departure as they prepare to face Arsenal.

Crystal Palace will begin a new era without manager Ian Holloway against Premier League leaders Arsenal at Selhurst Park this weekend.

The Eagles are yet to appoint a new manager following the departure of Holloway, who admitted that he had tried to make too many changes ahead of the club's return to the top flight.

For the time being, Palace will be under the leadership of Holloway's former assistant Keith Millen, but rumours are rife that ex-Stoke City manager Tony Pulis could be the next man in the hotseat.

Going through such a transition is not ideal for Palace, who will have to face in-form Arsenal after securing just one victory out of eight league fixtures in the campaign.

In contrast, Arsene Wenger's Gunners side are at the top of the table having remained unbeaten in their last seven fixtures, their latest being a 4-1 win over Norwich City.

In the five times that these two sides have played against each other, Arsenal have come out on top three times, while Palace have not grabbed one victory over the North London outfit.

Palace are likely to stick with Marouane Chamakh and Dwight Gayle up front, while Jack Wilshere could miss out for the Gunners after suffering a knock in their 2-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Tuesday.
