Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Arsenal could line up for Monday's Premier League clash with Everton.

Arsenal attacker Bukayo Saka will hope to return to the first XI when the Gunners take on Everton in Monday's Premier League clash at Goodison Park.

The England international was fit enough to play a part off the bench in Thursday's 3-2 defeat to Manchester United and is now set to take his rightful spot in the XI, most likely in place of Gabriel Martinelli.

Martinelli would certainly be unfairly dropped if that is the case, especially given Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's continued struggles in front of goal, but Mikel Arteta is unlikely to consider dropping his captain.

Aubameyang and Martinelli could both start up top if Martin Odegaard - who went from hero to zero at Old Trafford - is dropped, but the Norwegian playmaker will likely hold his place alongside Saka and Emile Smith Rowe, assuming the latter can shake off some muscular discomfort.

Mohamed Elneny was a surprise starter at Old Trafford having starred in the victory there last term, but Albert Sambi Lokonga will hope to return alongside Thomas Partey this time around.

Kieran Tierney continues to watch on from the bench as Nuno Tavares enjoys a run in the team, and the ex-Benfica man should hold his place in an unchanged rearguard.

Bernd Leno was not available for the defeat to Man United due to a tight groin, but Aaron Ramsdale is Arteta's undisputed number one either way.

Arsenal possible starting lineup: Ramsdale; Tomiyasu, White, Gabriel, Tavares; Partey, Lokonga; Saka, Odegaard, Smith Rowe; Aubameyang
