Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has praised his side's "mature" performance following their 7-1 win over Blackburn on Saturday afternoon.

Wenger also admitted that he was pleased his side finally produced the result - and the performance - he had been longing for.

"I feel that recently we have had good performances but didn't always get results. Today was the performance and the result that we wanted." Wenger told Sky Sports News.

"I do not give much importance to seven goals, but that we won and played well ... we were mature, serious and played together until the end."

Arsenal face Sunderland in the Premier League next weekend.
