Arsenal winger Theo Walcott is doubtful for England's friendly with Scotland tomorrow night after suffering an ankle injury in training.
Walcott had to be helped from the field at St George's Park yesterday after hurting his ankle during training with the Three Lions, with the forward unable to finish the session.
England coach Roy Hodgson insisted soon after that Walcott remains in his plans for the Wembley friendly despite the injury scare.
Hodgson told The Mirror: "Theo took a slight knock at the end of training, but we believe he'll be okay. He's very much still in contention."
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger will now anxiously wait for the player to return from international duty, ahead of Saturday's Premier League opener against Aston Villa.
Walcott was Arsenal's top scorer in the Premier League last season, with 14 goals in 32 appearances.
