Report: West Bromwich Albion keen on Steve Bould

Arsenal assistant manager Steve Bould is reportedly being considered by West Bromwich Albion's hierarchy for the vacant managerial position.

Arsenal assistant manager Steve Bould is reportedly among those under consideration to become the new West Bromwich Albion boss.

The Baggies have been without a manager since sacking Pepe Mel last week and, according to The Mirror, the 51-year-old is in the frame to succeed the Spaniard.

Former Gunners youth coach Terry Burton has been appointed as technical director at The Hawthorns and is understood to have lobbied for Bould to take the reins next season.

The ex-Arsenal defender, who has been Arsene Wenger's number two since 2012, was in the dugout at Wembley on Saturday as the North Londoners beat Hull City in the FA Cup to end a nine-year trophy drought.
