Former Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann believes that the North London outfit paid too much for Mesut Ozil.
The Gunners managed to secure the German international's signature from Real Madrid for a reported £42.5m on deadline day, breaking the club's transfer record.
"In all honesty, Arsenal paid too much for Mesut Ozil, but that's because Gareth Bale went to Real Madrid for so much more money," The Express quotes Lehmann as saying. "Nobody is worth that much."
Ozil's departure from the Bernabeu came after they clinched the signing of Gareth Bale for a reported world-record £85m fee.
