Maxime Gonalons says that it would be a "dream" to play in either England or Germany.

Arsenal target Maxime Gonalons has revealed his admiration for the Premier League.

The Lyon star has reportedly been scouted by the Gunners, who are believed to be looking for extra cover in midfield.

Gonalons has emerged as one of the best defensive midfielders in Ligue 1 since breaking into Les Gones' first team in 2009, winning six caps for France.

The 23-year-old, who scored in his team's midweek Europa League draw with Tottenham Hotspur, said that he also likes the Bundesliga.

"If I have to go, it would be abroad," Gonalons told Fichajes.

"I like the English and the German leagues. They are awesome. When I see the pitch and that type of game, I feel it's a dream."

Gonalons came through the youth ranks at the Stade de Gerland.
