Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira reportedly emerges as the latest candidate to replace out-of-contract Roy Hodgson at Crystal Palace in the summer.

Crystal Palace are reportedly considering Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira as a replacement for out-of-contract Roy Hodgson in the summer.

Vieira was sacked by Nice last December, having been appointed at the Allianz Riviera in 2018, and also has managerial experience from New York City and Manchester City's youth development.

Steve Parish has also identified Eddie Howe, Frank Lampard and Sean Dyche as potential candidates for the job at Selhurst Park.

According to the Daily Mail, the Frenchman was previously linked with Newcastle in 2015 and former club Arsenal in 2018 and 2019.

The report claims that it could be a summer of change for the Eagles with Andros Townsend, Patrick van Aanholt, Christian Benteke and Gary Cahill among the players whose contracts are due to expire.

Vieira, currently out of a job, took charge of 89 games for Nice, managing 35 wins during his time with the club.
