Arsenal have announced that they intend to play a pre-season fixture in Indonesia next summer.

No opponent or date has yet been set, but Gunners chief executive Ivan Gazidis is relishing the opportunity to connect with the club's fanbase in South East Asia.

He said: "Everyone at Arsenal is extremely excited to once again be visiting Asia.

"We know that Arsenal enjoy fantastic support in Indonesia and we are all looking forward to bringing the club closer to these loyal fans and learning more about the country's rich heritage and culture."

The proposed match will take place in Jakarta.
