Massimiliano Allegri 'wary of taking Arsenal job'

Former Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri will allegedly 'need convincing' to become the next manager of Arsenal.

Massimiliano Allegri is allegedly wary of accepting any offer to become the new manager of Arsenal.

After Unai Emery was sacked last week, Allegri is one of a number of people who have been linked with the position at the Emirates Stadium.

However, according to the Evening Standard, the Italian is currently unconvinced that the role is right for him at this stage of his career.

While Allegri is said to be open to moving to London, the report suggests that the 52-year-old has concerns over 'the sincerity' of any interest in his services.

Allegri has held talks with Arsenal's hierarchy in the past, only for the board to opt to replace the outgoing Arsene Wenger with Emery in 2018.

The former Juventus manager has previously insisted that he would prefer to wait until the end of the campaign before taking on his next job.
