Arsenal and Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey has defended his decision to play for Team GB at the Olympic Games.
Despite some opposition from the Welsh Football Association, the 21-year-old insists that he is proud to be representing both his country and Britain.
"It was down to us whether we wanted to play or not and we chose to play," he told reporters.
"For me, it's a unique thing and there's going to be some great countries with great players involved, so it's great to test yourself against them and we are looking forward to it.
"We are all proud to be Welsh and we are representing our country as well as Great Britain."
Team GB get their Olympic campaign underway on Thursday against Sengal at Old Trafford.
