Mesut Ozil "over the moon" with Arsenal's FA Cup success

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil insists that they are "on the right way" to competing for the Premier League.

Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil has revealed that his side are already targeting the FA Cup next season, following their win at Wembley against Aston Villa.

The Gunners lifted the trophy for the 12th time in their history with a resounding win, and Ozil admits that they want to win it for a third time in a row next year.

He told reporters: "I'm very pleased. My second year and my second title. It's hard to beat. We want to win everything but there are many big teams who have the same goals as us. But I'm positive and I think we are on the right way with the team. Next season we want to defend out title and who knows maybe we will win other titles.

"For me personally it was sad to be out injured for so long. It was the first time in my career I have been out for so long and there I really felt that I missed football. I saw the games and thought 'I want that back.'

"My aim was to come back even stronger and I have worked hard for that. And in the end we were awarded as a team with a trophy. I'm over the moon."

Ozil joined the North London side from Real Madrid in 2013.
