Winger Theo Walcott believes England can only get better at the European Championships as they adapt to Roy Hodgson's style of play.

England winger Theo Walcott has said that the national side are just warming up ahead of Euro 2012 and that their "best is still to come".

The Three Lions have edged out both Norway and Belgium 1-0 in recent friendlies as new manager Roy Hodgson seems to have chosen a defensive strategy for the Championships in Poland and Ukraine.

Arsenal man Walcott thinks the squad is still getting used to the former West Brom and Liverpool manager's style of play.

"In a short amount of time we are getting [to grips with] the way Roy likes to set up the team, but I believe the best is still to come," said the 23-year-old.

"We always know we are going to score goals and going into a tournament when you know you are going to keep clean sheets, that is very important for the group stage.

"We've got a manager that believes in us, he likes us to play with no fear and he always tells us to enjoy ourselves."

Walcott will be hoping for a starting place in Hodgson's side when they take on France in their tournament opener in 8 days.
