Roy Hodgson has challenged Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to play his way into the team for England's opening game of Euro 2012 against France in nine days time.
The young Arsenal midfielder has been handed a role in the starting lineup for this afternoon's friendly encounter Belgium at Wembley.
Discussing Oxlade-Chamberlain's presence in the team, Hodgson told ITV Sport: "He is in the squad, he's done well in training and it's important to get a look at him.
"It's a big ask of him today but, if we don't give him the opportunity, we'll be wondering how he can cope in the tournament.
"It's not make or break but it'll be nice if he can go on and show what a quality footballer he is."
The 18-year-old made his senior debut against Norway last week.
