Roberto Jimenez Gago: 'Arsenal won't beat Olympiacos'

Olympiacos goalkeeper Roberto Jimenez Gago says that the team are feeling confident ahead of facing Arsenal in their final match of the Champions League group stages.

Olympiacos goalkeeper Roberto Jimenez Gago has stated that the team are confident of beating Arsenal in their final match of the Champions League group stages this evening.

The Gunners go into the match needing to beat the Greek champions by two clear goals or more to progress to the knockout rounds of the competition.

Olympiacos beat Arsenal 3-2 at the Emirates in September, and Roberto is confident that home advantage could see his side come out on top again at the Karaiskakis Stadium.

"We are at home and that's a big advantage for us. I think that gives us a bigger chance and is vital for us," the Daily Mail quotes him as saying.

"No-one really gave us much hope of getting through, no-one believed in us and now we can do it. Our victory in London was a warning to everyone. It wasn't lucky, we deserved it, and it raised our confidence. We are convinced that Arsenal won't win in Athens.

"The atmosphere will be tough and intense. If we play a good match then that is more important."

Olympiacos are second in Group F ahead of the game, while Arsenal are three points behind in third.
