Lukas Fabianski has claimed that Arsenal have improved as a team despite their Champions League exit at the hands of Bayern Munich.

The Gunners earned a 1-1 draw in Germany on Tuesday night but that result was not enough, seeing them lose 3-1 on aggregate in the last 16.

Fabianski now hopes that he and his teammates can take the positives from their performance and enjoy a strong finish to the season.

"I think you could see they were nervous until the last few minutes of the game so you can see that we showed our pride. We are looking forward to the final games of the season," he told the club's official website.

"Bayern didn't have a lot of chances, they just had a lot of possession but didn't create a lot and maybe had two shots on target. So I think we have improved for sure as a team and as a club."

Arsenal return to action on Sunday when they travel to local rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
