Arjen Robben: 'I expected better from Arsene Wenger'

Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben reveals that he is disappointed with Arsene Wenger after the Arsenal boss accused him of diving during their Champions League clash on Tuesday evening.

Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has rejected Arsene Wenger's claims that he dived during both legs of their Champions League tie over the past three weeks.

Robben won a penalty in the first leg at the Emirates Stadium, which also resulted in Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny being dismissed, while the Dutch international won a second spot kick in Munich on Tuesday evening.

However, after Wenger called Robben a "very good diver" after the showdown in Germany, the former Chelsea attacker responded by revealing that he "expected a little bit more" from a manager of a big club.

The 30-year-old told ITV Sport: "I always say that if you are a big manager, take your loss. If you win, be happy, enjoy, but if you lose, don't start complaining about the silly things.

"It was two penalties, but I don't want to have to defend myself. From a big manager, you expect a little bit more if you lose."

Tuesday's second leg at the Allianz Arena finished 1-1, allowing Bayern Munich to advance through to the last eight with a 3-1 triumph on aggregate.
