Monday morning's Arsenal transfer talk news roundup:
Tyrick Mitchell 'snubs Arsenal interest for new Crystal Palace deal'
Crystal Palace defender Tyrick Mitchell has reportedly snubbed interest from Arsenal to sign a new long-term deal with the Eagles.
The 21-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough season under Roy Hodgson during the 2020-21 campaign with 13 appearances in all competitions - 12 of them being starts in the Premier League.
Having loaned Sead Kolasinac out to Schalke and lost Kieran Tierney to a calf problem, Arsenal were tipped to bring in one of Mitchell or fellow Palace left-back Patrick van Aanholt during the most recent transfer window.
The Gunners did not strike a deal for either player, though, and The Mirror now reports that Mitchell has agreed to pen fresh terms at Selhurst Park.
The report claims that the defender's new-and-improved deal will keep him on at Palace until 2025, and Hodgson was keen to fend off interest from top Premier League clubs by tying him down to a new contract.
Mitchell has played the full 90 minutes in six of Palace's last nine Premier League matches, and his previous deal was due to expire this summer.
Arsenal 'make Club Brugge's Odilon Kossounou a top transfer target'
Arsenal will reportedly attempt to strike a deal for Club Brugge's Odilon Kossounou in the summer transfer window.
The Ivory Coast international has starred in the heart of the Brugge defence this term with 28 appearances in all competitions, including 19 starts in the Belgian top flight.
Kossounou, who is also capable of playing in midfield, only signed a new deal with Brugge until 2024 last month, but the Belgian outfit could supposedly struggle to hold on to the highly-rated 20-year-old this summer.
According to The Mirror, Kossounou is a priority target for the Gunners, and the Ivorian's compatriots Gervinho and Emmanuel Eboue have both talked up his quality to their old club.
The report adds that Kossounou is likely to be tempted by a move to the Premier League, and a fee of £8.5m could be enough to secure his signature despite his recent contract extension.
Inter Milan are also understood to be monitoring developments over the defender's future.
