Albania take second position in Group I with comfortable win over Armenia

Albania secured 2nd spot in Group I and automatic qualification to Euro 2016 with a 3-0 victory over Armenia, which sends Denmark into the playoffs.

Albania secured 2nd position in Group I with a comfortable 3-0 win over Armenia.

An own goal from Armenia defender Kamo Hovhannisyan gifted Albania the lead after nine minutes.

Ledian Memushaj doubled Albania's lead with a 23rd-minute strike past Armenia keeper Gevorg Kasparov.

Gianni de Biasi's side continued to attack in the second period as Armenia struggled to gain a foothold in the game.

Substiute Armando Sadiku wrapped up the points for Albania as he stroked home after 76 minutes.

Albania's win hands them 2nd position in Group I and automatic qualification to Euro 2016, while Denmark now head to the playoffs.
