Andreu Guerau nets at both ends in Western Sydney Wanderers draw

Western Sydney Wanderers midfielder Andreu Guerao nets at both ends as his side draw 1-1 with Adelaide United in the A-League.

Western Sydney Wanderers have secured a 1-1 draw away at Adelaide United after midfielder Andreu Guerao scored at both ends in the A-League clash.

Romeo Castelen got in an early shot on goal for the visitors in the fifth minute which went wide of the post, before Adelaide's Craig Goodwin cut in from the left before seeing his effort saved by the goalkeeper.

Midway through the first half, Adelaide edged ahead when Andreu put through his own net after Tarek Elrich had delivered a cross into the penalty area.

Chances were few and far between for the remainder of the opening period, but shortly after the restart, Wanderers had a chance to equalise through Jaushua Sotirio who blazed his attempt over the crossbar.

Adelaide goalkeeper John Hall had to be alert to deny Castelen midway through the second half, but with seven minutes remaining, Wanderers found an equaliser through Andreu, who drilled a powerful strike past the home team's stopper.
