Montpellier HSC president Louis Nicollin has insisted that the French club will not sell Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa this summer for less than £33m.
AC Milan have been linked with a move for the 23-year-old following the loss of Thiago Silva to Paris Saint-Germain, but Nicollin has reacted angrily to the interest.
"I don't care about PSG's money. [Milan] have to give us the same sum PSG gave them for Thiago Silva. Yanga-Mbiwa won leave. That's clear," he told France Football.
"There are advanced negotiations between the player and Milan, but for any sale I must agree to it. And since I do not agree, nothing will happen. He will remain here.
"I'm not chasing a player to replace him, so he will stay here for another year, even if it takes him to the end of his contract."
Montpellier won the Ligue 1 title last season.
