A Stephan El Shaarawy brace helps AC Milan record their first away win in Serie A since September, coming from behind to beat Catania at Stadio Angelo Massimino.

AC Milan have recorded their first away win in Serie A since September by coming from behind to beat Catania at Stadio Angelo Massimino.

Nicola Legrottaglie headed the hosts in front on 11 minutes, but the game then turned in Milan's favour four minutes into the second half when Pablo Barrientos was sent off for a second bookable offence.

It took Milan just four minutes to make their numerical advantage count, as Stephan El Shaarawy tapped home from Robinho's low cross.

Milan went ahead on 56 minutes when Kevin-Prince Boateng's long-range effort found the bottom-right corner.

Boateng was shown a red card for a reckless tackle on Lucas Castro in the 90th minute.

However, his teammates retained their composure and sealed the victory in stoppage time when El Shaarawy doubled his tally with a composed finish from 15 yards.
