Team News: Aberdeen name attacking lineup for Dundee United trip

Aberdeen line up with three strikers for their Scottish Premiership trip to Dundee United as David Goodwillie, Adam Rooney and Niall McGinn all start.

Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes has named an attacking lineup for this afternoon's Scottish Premiership visit to Dundee United.

David Goodwillie, Adam Rooney and Niall McGinn make up a three-pronged attack for the Dons as they go in search of a win that will move them level on points with the Terrors in the table.

McInnes has injuries woes to contend with in midfield, with Barry Robson not passed fit to face his former club, and Willo Flood and Craig Storie still sidelined.

Jarek Fojut has shrugged off a hamstring strain to make the starting XI for the hosts, lining up in the midfield alongside Chris Erskine, but Gary Mackay-Steven was only passed fit enough for the bench.

United: Cierzniak, Dillon, Souttar, Fojut, Townsend, Paton, Rankin, Dow, Erskine, Armstrong, Ciftci

Aberdeen: Brown, Logan, Considine, Taylor, Reynolds, Rooney, McGinn, Hayes, Pawlett, Goodwillie, Jack
